Learn about one of the most incredible life stories of any animal on earth, the miracle of the Monarch Butterflies. Weighing less than a gram these seemingly fragile insects are able to travel thousands of miles to remote valleys in Mexico where they join millions of other butterflies to spend the winter. You'll learn about their metamorphasis from egg to adult as well as their transformation from living as a solitary animal to living as a colony dweller. You will learn how they migrate and finally you'll learn how you can help monarchs - what plants you can grow for them and how you can raise them on your own and increase their numbers locally. |
