In search of Eagles
I traveled to the Upper Pennensula of Michigan today in search of eagles.
In early January during a trip to the UP I'd seen 3 different Bald Eagles. So I thought that I would head back up into the same area and try to locate some more, before the ice went out and they became more widely dispersed. I saw one eagle, but could not get any photos of it. There were a surpricing number of deer that were up and about during the middle of the day. There is still a lot more snow on the ground in the UP and few open spots of ground, so the deer are more congregated around the spots that are open and in the areas where the snow is shallower and easier to travel in.
